Grandma and Grandpa Lewis' house in Provo.

The Provo Temple

The Y - for BYU!

The Valley of Provo

Grandpa points out various
spots in Provo below us.

Haleigh, Megan and Fred

The Y is FINALLY in site!

Haleigh dreaming of going to the Y someday.

Grandpa has almost made it!
The kids created a human tunnel

to congratulate him.

We made it!

Then a trip to BYU Creamery for
an ice cream TREAT.

AND a VERY refreshing dip
in the pool in the backyard.

UTAH - Hike to Mary's Lake

UTAH - MILLER FAMILY King Benjamin Retreat

The King Benjamin Retreat Defined:
A Miller Family Tradition
which began 5 years ago.

As it says in Mosiah chapter 2
of the Book of Mormon
"...they pitched their tents round about, every man according to his family, consisting of his wife, and his sons, and his daughters, and their sons, and their daughters, from the eldest down to the youngest, every family being separate one from another.
And they pitched their tents round about the temple, every man having his tent with the door thereof towards the temple, that thereby they might remain in their tents and hear the words
which king Benjamin should speak unto them;"

Simply put - The King Benjamin Retreat is
an opportunity to gather as a family
and count our blessings.

Our day began by attending
the BEAUTIFUL Salt Lake City Temple

Followed by FUN with family in
Grandpa Miller's BEAUTIFUL backyard.

Food preparation and dinner.

A Minute To Win It
challenge with cousins.

And finally ...

the pitching of tents.

We enjoyed a cool night sleeping under the stars.

UTAH - Fred's Birthday Dinner

What better way to celebrate --

with Mexican Food

and family!

Happy Birthday My LOVE!!

UTAH - A LOVELY Morning Walk

Our walk, with my Dad,
 began in Farmington.
A quaint historical city in Utah.
Where many of the Mormon Pioneers,
some of them my ancestors,
found refuge after a long
journey from Nauvoo, Illinois.

Lagoon - an amusement park filled
with many happy memories
from my childhood -
created the walking trail
we took.

We saw ...

HORSES

ELK

BUFFALO

and BEAUTIFUL old trees.

A LOVELY morning walk indeed!

Japan - just passing through (this time)

Our trip to Salt Lake City, Utah
took us through BEAUTIFUL
JAPAN.  Where both Fred and I
served our missions.

It was fun to see so much Japanese
culture in the airport.

We look forward to going back
in September to stay for a few days.
