Labor Day Antiquing

What do we do for Labor Day?
THIS was the big question of last week.
We searched and thought and searched some more.
I finally decided my kids needed to experience
ANTIQUING in the SOUTH.

We visited this store in Buford, GA
and had a GREAT time.
We saw SO MANY FUN things!

 We purchased ONE item.
Let's play a GAME -- take a guess which
child purchased the ONE item
and what it was :).

Was it  HALEIGH --
 who purchased a guitar,
 a video camera,
 a point a shoot camera,
 or an old projector?

Was it CALEB --
 who purchased a typewriter,
 a record player,
(picture is blurred because he was
jammin' as a DJ)
 an EXTRA LARGE mustache,
or baseball cards?

Was it AMMON --
who purchased a rotary dial phone,
 a pedal toy car,
or a suited stool with legs and shoes?
 We ENJOYED this sign
while making our purchase.

SO WHO made the purchase
and WHAT was it?
(Drum roll PLEASE!!)

It was AMMON who could not
leave without purchasing
this rotary dial phone.  The cashiers
helped him try it out at the counter
to make sure it worked.
"This is SO AWESOME!!" -- Ammon

Antiquing -- it's a FUN thing!!

Up, Up and Away in a BEAUTIFUL Balloon

This BEAUTIFUL hot air balloon
flew right over our house.
There is something so soothing
and quaint about a community
where hot air balloons fly.
I LOVE IT!!

Stone Mountain with Wendy from Hong Kong

Wendy, from Hong Kong Kids II,
came to work in Atlanta for a week.
We took her to see Stone Mountain.
Ammon, Wendy and Haleigh
Stone Mountain Historic Village
Ammon stuffed a penguin for Wendy's son.

 A walk in the stream.
Wendy had never eaten BBQ before.
I wish the pulled pork, bbq sauce,
mac and cheese, coleslaw and baked beans
and been a better sampling of Southern BBQ.
It was pretty bad actually.  What a disappointment.
Ammon cooled off in the Geyser Tower.
