Picture Perfect Paris! (from Steph's camera)

Fred and Steph's trip to Paris. We had an AMAZING time!
It's CRAZY to feel like you've jumped into a post card
and are living the pictures.
It was so much more than we could have expected!

The Arc de Triomphe

The staircase leading to the top of the Arc.

The view from the top of the Arc.

Our 'Tea Party' on the streets of Pari'!

Hot Chocholate, thick, melted milk chocolate, and pastries!

The Eiffel Tower

The kids tried to spot us on the Eiffel web cam at home.
No luck. We were too small to be seen.

At the top of the tower. A little weak in the knees.
Favorite part of the trip: Waiting for the sun to set
while on top of the tower.

The Palace of Versailles - The king's summer get-away

Notre Dame
They had a mass going on while we toured the building.
What an AMAZING opportunity to walk through a place
that is nearly 1,000 years old.

A boat ride around the city.
This was a great way to see the all of the sites of Paris,
and from a different perspective.

So many BEAUTIFUL bridges.

Sunset at the Louvre

The view from our dinner table on the patio.
Yes, we ate some AMAZING places.

Paris was PICTURE PEFECT! SO MUCH to see!
So much to take in.

7:00 a.m. - We leave to take Ammon to the 1st day of 3rd grade

His teacher - CUTE! - Mrs. Magin!

7:45 a.m. - We leave to take Haleigh to her first day of HIGH SCHOOL!
At the brand new Lambert High.

Haleigh and Kelsey just before they got out of the car.
As we pulled up to the school I heard them say
"Oh no, I think I'm going to throw up!"
"I am so nervous I think I'm going to pass out!"
You couldn't tell by the looks on their faces.

Haleigh's BEAUTIFUL new school!
It's HUGE!

8:30 a.m. - We leave for Caleb's first day of 8th grade!

"Fire power!" - The BIG man on campus!

Harvesting Sweet Memories

Picking Apricots at Grandma & Grandpa Henderson's
I loved these pictures too much not to share.
They speak for themselves.

Sweet memories indeed!

Know What it Takes! - for YOU

Haleigh and Caleb had the same teacher for 4th grade.
MR. JOHNSON
He taught us SO MANY life lessons.
Whenever someone would say "That's so easy!"
He would reply, simply "For you".

It is not enough to "Know what it takes".
You have to Know what it takes - FOR YOU!

What should we know?

Know your plan and follow it!

Know what's expected; when

Know YOU!
Your abilities AND your limits

Of course it's also important to have the right tools to get the job done.

Know what it takes - for YOU!

Ammon - The Photographer

Let me be honest!
When Ammon insisted on taking pictures to
"earn his cub scout belt loop" {don't think there is one}
I was VERY skeptical.
As he was snapping shots left and right I was thinking about
the amount of time & camera battery I would waste deleting photos.
Little did I know his shots would be some of my
FAVORITES of ALL TIME!

Yeah AMMON!

Utah Trip Highlights!

We flew in to Las Vegas
and drove to St. George.
There we stayed with Stephen & Heidi.
It was GREAT to spend time with them.

Miniature golf!
Can you spot everyone? Heidi, Aubree,Caleb,Ammon, Haleigh & Little Stephen
LOVE the view of the St. George Temple & the red rock mountains in the background.

A visit to Stephen's work & the St. George Temple before we headed for Provo.

This is my BIGGEST DISSAPPOINTMENT of the trip!!
No pictures of my own of the 5 days we spent with the Lewis'.
Jacqie was the photographer of all the events & projects we had going on.
I can't wait until she sends us all copies.
There was much priming, painting, plumbing & more painting - by the adults.
And playing, garden watering & harvesting & swimming - by the kids.
GREAT TIMES!

The Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House!
It was BEAUTIFUL!
