The Summer Palace

The last stop on our tour of Beijing

was The Summer Palace.

It was a PERFECT way to end.

A little shop just outside the Palace gates.

The Grand Stage - where many operas took place.

We saw a traditional Chinese music 

performance here.  The big bells in the

background were one of the instruments played.

It was a steep hike up

but WELL WORTH the effort!!
Such a BEAUTIFUL place - The Summer Palace.
